Dear Potomac Greens Residents,
At the November 20th HOA Board Meeting, the Board of Directors discussed two topics that will interest the entire community.
The first is that Rose Square will remain roped off for another 10-14 days to allow the new sod to take hold. When someone stole a section of the new sod, it became apparent that the sod had not yet ‘rooted-in.’ We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work together to ensure the success of this project. The Social Committee will support this Saturday’s Turkey Trot from a location in front of the clubhouse on the west side of Potomac Greens Drive, and we encourage all of you to join us in making this event a memorable one.
The second topic is Verizon’s schedule for replacing their current wire cables with more advanced fiber optic cables. They will begin the work shortly, possibly as soon as tomorrow. When EYA and Craftmark built the community, Verizon placed their wire cables in conduits that should allow the installers to bring the new fiber optic cables into our neighborhood and connect them to the existing green pedestals in our alleyways and common areas with little or no digging. Verizon estimates they will complete the work in January 2025. The fiber optic cable will support both voice communications and broadband. Verizon said their current broadband pricing is $59.99/month for 300Mbps, $84.99/month for 500 Mbps, $99.99/month for 1Gigps, and eventually, $119.99/month for 2Gigps. Verizon does offer discounts for autopay and bundling with other Verizon services.
All Best,
PG HOA Board of Directors
