Halloween, House Decoration Contest, Pond Warning – 10/27/20

Due to COVID-related restrictions there will be no official trick-or-treating kick-off at Rose Square this year. If you plan to give out candy or escort your costumed kiddos around the community, please be aware of this guidance from the CDC and the City.

However, we’re excited for the house decorating contest, which you’ve probably seen flyers for on your mailboxes! It’s now time to vote for your favorite Halloween decorations. All participating homes have a numbered sign in their front yard. Please use this form to vote for your top 3 homes, and please provide your address. Only one vote is allowed per PG household. Winners will be announced via Facebook on Halloween. Contact the Social Committee at socialcommittee@potomacgreenshoa.com with any questions. CUT-OFF TIME FOR VOTING is noon on Halloween.

Also, the Board was recently notified that a group of kids were inside the fenced-off stormwater pond at the south end of the neighborhood and throwing items onto the grate that covers the drain. We don’t know who they were or whether they were even PG residents, but please remember that no one should be inside the fence. It could interfere with ongoing efforts to restore the pond to proper functioning, and of course it’s a safety hazard.

Thanks and stay safe, neighbors!–
The PG HOA Board
